Dhirendra Kumar is the Managing Director of the Company.  

The visionary behind the Company’s steady growth, Kumar has spearheaded the development of ‘zero-residue’ products, new technological platforms and organically viable hybrid seeds. Recognising the potential in environment-friendly technologies, Kumar has led Camson through various phases of growth and expansion in the last 17 years, including the company’s IPO in 1995. 

In his previous experience, Kumar has contributed to many success stories. In his position as General Manager at ITC Ltd., Kumar took over a loss making division and reworked the entire product range, positioning and strategy to transform it into the fastest growing and most profitable division at ITC. Further, as the Marketing Manager at the Pioneer Seed Co., he held the distinction of leading the company to new heights in terms of market share and profitability. His previous experience also includes positions at Ranbaxy and Coromandal Indag.  

Kumar holds a M.Sc. in Plant Genetics and Breeding and an MBA in Marketing from the Punjab Agricultural University, India. He also holds an MBA in Export Management from IIFT, New Delhi.

Santosh Nair, the CEO of Camson Biotechnologies Ltd., entered the agriculture industry after being associated with the banking and finance industry for over 19 years. During this long stint he has worked with reputed organizations like Merrill Lynch and HDFC Bank. At Merrill Lynch he was part of Global Wealth Management group and managed India onshore business for the group. He spent more than a decade with HDFC Bank and responsible for Retail Banking business starting off with the western region and then moving on to head Southern India. 

After re-locating to Bangalore, Mr.Santosh Nair's interaction with agri-companies got him excited about the prospects of agriculture. The last couple of years were spent in analysing Indian agri business and interacting with agri-experts. He identified technology as a key factor and decided to partner with Camson where he is responsible for bringing the thrust on the domestic as well as new international business initiatives which will spread Camson presence in the global arena.  

Mr. Santosh Nair graduated from the Mumbai University in 1991 with a specialization in Chemistry. He chose Finance as his mainstream while obtaining his masters degree in management from the reputed NMIMS,Mumbai and has an executive degree from IIM-A.

A. N. Singh is a Non-Executive Director of the Company.  

In his career spanning over 40 years, Singh has worked with the Government, international institutions and the corporate sector.

A veteran in the field of Agriculture, Singh started his career as a manager with the Indian Central Tobacco Committee in 1958. He then worked with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research as a Senior Research Assistant and Agronomist, before joining the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India in 1970.

During his tenure of 20 years in the Ministry of Agriculture, he moved from Deputy Director to Director, Joint Commissioner and finally Additional Commissioner. He also worked with the World Bank and Agricultural Finance Corporation Ltd. (AFCL) as a Senior Consultant before joining the Camson Board in 1995.

Singh holds a M.Sc. degree in Agronomy.

Krishnaswamy Ramaswamy is a Non-Executive, Independent Director of the Company.

A veteran with over 40 years of experience in the global banking and finance sectors, Ramaswamy has to his credit the experience of setting up banks, from conceptualising to launch of commercial operations and leading performance turnarounds.

Having started his career in the State Bank of India, he made significant contributions to the bank in his tenure of 27 years. After opting for premature retirement from SBI as Deputy General Manger, Iyer headed various international banking and financial institutions such as San Paola Hambro Finance, Exim Bank of Tanzania and Nepal Industrial and Commercial Bank and Union Finance, Nepal.

Ramaswamy is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and holds a B.A. LL.B degree.

Virendra Kumar Singh is a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Singh has over 20 years of diverse experience in the fields of engineering and production, management and sales.

He has worked extensively in the automobile sector, innovating and developing new vehicle prototypes, and managing production and sales. Singh started his career with Hindustan Motors Ltd., and moved on to work with Hindustan Development Corporation Ltd., and Eicher Tractors Ltd.  He has also been a first-generation entrepreneur running a successful venture of environmentally-viable infrastructure focused on the gainful use of solar energy.

Singh holds a Master of Engineering degree and an MBA.

B. C. Madappa is a Non-Executive, Independent Director of the Company.

Madappa has over 30 years of experience in media and allied industries. He was responsible for the creation and incubation of India’s first professional PR firm and also India’s first direct marketing firm in collaboration with global industrial leaders.

In his last position, Madappa served as Country Head of Draft Worldwide. Madappa has also served as a Director on the boards of several listed and unlisted companies.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree.

Dr Singh is a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company.

He has over 30 years of experience in Plant Genetics and Breeding. In his previous experience he has worked as the National Genebank Curator and Head of the Germplasm Conservation Division at the National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (Indian Council of Agricultural Research). He has also served on their Board as a Director.

Dr Singh has published several research articles in reputed national and international scientific journals.

He holds a M.Sc. degree in Plant Pathology and a Ph.D in Plant Breeding.

Mr. Gulshan Kumar Khanna has 35 years of experience in the filed of Engineering and Project Management.

Mr. Khanna is qualified Engineer and a technocrat and has immense experience in Corporate Management.

He has held top position in various Multinational Engineering Companies.

He holds Directorship in some of the closely held companies.
